This spaetzle maker is constructed of tin-plated and is designed to make authentic spaetzle. Spaetzle is a specialty flour dumpling of mostly southern German, Austrian, and Hungarian origin. This dumpling maker rests nicely on most pots. 

To use, place the spaetzle maker over a sauce pan or stock pot of simmering water with the plastic hopper on top. Add your spaetzle batter to the hopper. Then, in a slow, steady motion, move the hopper back and forth, and your spaetzle dumplings will fall into the water.
